God’s Will: Never promised Easy but promised a Victory
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
— Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)
It has been a major adjustment to share my diagnosis and hear the reactions of those I speak with. The words are often encouraging. I have found a theme of people wondering why I have this fight. What gives me solace is God’s love, grace, and promises. None of us are promised a life without adversity. My challenge today may be different than what you’re facing however, know God is with you no matter what you’re going through. It can be tough at times to fully embrace that we are not promised easy but we are equipped with all we need: God’s love to manage whatever is in our paths.
I know God is working on me to be a better person and through me despite my diagnosis. I hope this message encourages you to keep moving forward on your faith road to victory knowing God will not bring you to it and not bring you through it.
