Time, effort and energy

2. GOD MADE US, AND WE ARE HIS PEOPLE.

Psalm 100:3

“Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.”

While reflecting it occurred to me the amount of energy I would put into trying to find solutions to man made problems e.g. racial inequality in education. Such systemic Questions would dominate much of my free thought. As I have given more thought and energy to my fight against cancer I realize how little time I have for issues people create out of fear, hate, or anything negative. We as children of Christ are called to so much more than how we are living today. I’m firmly committed to building God‘s kingdom on earth. This will require a new focus for me and skills. Through this focus I will not spend any time debating about the equality of all people as we were all created in God’s image as such no group deserves more just because rather we all deserve what we need to ensure that we can do our part in building God’s kingdom on earth. If you’re actively working against someone’s ability to work in their purpose I do not have the time or energy to convince you of the futility of your efforts. Martin Luther king jr “The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.” Henceforth if we are talking about bold change we must have a common long term vision of a just world reflecting God’s Kingdom on earth
